I had a bit of a mixed experience at Hotel Tirrenia. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Sorrento, making it easy to explore. However, the service was lacking at times, with issues like hot water on the second day and a less than ideal room view. The staff in the restaurant were lovely, and the breakfast spread was quite varied, which I appreciated.

Rooms
6.0
My room was small and dated, which was a bit disappointing. I did enjoy the view of the Bay of Naples, but the bathroom was cramped and not in the best condition. Plus, I was surprised to find two single beds pushed together instead of a double.
Service
6.0
While the restaurant staff were friendly and welcoming, I encountered some service hiccups. There were times when I needed assistance and it was hard to find someone, especially with the hot water issue not being addressed promptly.
Location
8.0
The hotel's central location is one of its biggest perks. It's close to shops, restaurants, and all the main attractions in Sorrento, making wandering around town very convenient. However, navigating to the hotel with luggage was a bit challenging due to parking distance.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was solid, with a good variety for breakfast and an accommodating dinner menu. Gabriel and his team really made me feel at home in the restaurant, and I enjoyed several meals there.
Facilities
7.0
Though I didn't get to enjoy the rooftop bar since it was closed during my stay, I did see that it offered great views. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was commendable, contributing to a comfortable environment.

5.2/10

I had a pleasant experience at Hotel Tirrenia. The staff were friendly and eager to help, and I appreciated the central location which made it easy to explore Sorrento. However, the room was a bit dated and could use more electrical outlets, and the dining options, while varied, sometimes lacked seasoning. Overall, it was a good stay.

Rooms
6.0
The room felt basic, small, and dated. I struggled with the TV that didn’t work due to a faulty plug, and the shower was cramped with some mold issues. However, the balcony offered a good view.
Service
8.0
The staff were generally friendly and accommodating, although some weren't as helpful. I found the reception staff knowledgeable and willing to assist with inquiries and local information.
Location
10.0
The hotel’s location was excellent—just a short walk to the heart of Sorrento where all the shops and restaurants are. It's convenient for exploring the area.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was quite extensive with many options, but the dinner could have been better, lacking flavor and creativity. Some dishes felt like they came from a can instead of being freshly made.
Facilities
7.0
I enjoyed the rooftop terrace overlooking the bay, and the lift, though small, worked efficiently. However, the green pool was uninviting, and I didn't use it.

5.0/10

I had a pretty great time at Hotel Tirrenia. The location was super convenient for exploring Sorrento, being just a short walk from shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful, though the facilities felt a bit dated and could use some updates. Overall, it offered good value for a comfortable stay in a vibrant area.

Rooms
8.0
The room was clean and had a nice balcony with a sea view, but it felt a bit dated, and the walls weren't very soundproof. I did appreciate the ample storage space and the daily cleaning was a plus.
Service
8.0
Overall, the service was helpful and friendly. The staff at the restaurant was particularly attentive, while the reception staff could have been a bit more welcoming.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location was perfect for getting into Sorrento's center. It was close to shops and the marina, making it easy to explore the area, even if the road outside was a little noisy during the day.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was great, with a solid variety of hot and cold foods to choose from. The dinner options were also nice, though I wish I'd experienced more than just a semi-fixed menu.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities included a small lift and a jacuzzi on the terrace, which was a nice touch. However, the lift was pretty tiny, and I would have loved more plug sockets in the room.

6.4/10

I had a really nice stay at Hotel Tirrenia for my honeymoon. The location was super convenient, right at the end of the main street with all the shops and restaurants nearby. The breakfasts were fantastic, offering a wide range of delicious options. However, I was a bit disappointed that our room didn't have a mini fridge, and we did experience some street noise. Overall, I’d definitely consider staying here again when I revisit Sorrento.

Our room was a standard one, clean and comfortable but could have used a mini fridge. The balcony was a nice touch.

The hotel was clean and had a rooftop bar, though it could be hard to find staff up there at times, and the jacuzzi didn't look very inviting.

5.8/10

My stay at Hotel Tirrenia was enjoyable, thanks to its perfect location in the heart of Sorrento and the cleanliness of the hotel. The breakfast offered a great variety, though dining options for dinner were somewhat repetitive. I had a lovely and comfortable experience, despite the need for a few upgrades around the facility.

Rooms
6.0
The room was basic but kept clean. I found the bed quite comfy, which led to restful nights. However, it felt a bit outdated and could use some modernization.
Service
8.0
The staff were very kind and accommodating, especially in the dining room where they helped with my specific dietary needs. Their friendliness made my stay more pleasant, even when the service was stretched thin at times.
Location
8.0
I loved the central location of the hotel. It made exploring Sorrento and accessing nearby restaurants and bars incredibly easy. Plus, being near transport links was a bonus for day trips.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was a highlight with plenty of options, including fresh fruit, pastries, and yogurt. However, dinner options were less exciting, as they tended to offer the same selections with minor variations each night.
Facilities
6.0
While the hotel was clean overall, some facilities like the sun terrace and jacuzzi could use a bit more attention. The jacuzzi had leaks, and the sunbeds were not as clean as I would have preferred.
